So I realize that God has been testing me this whole time, with being so far away from home, having to work long hours weekdays and weekends, and just having to do things that I really do not want to do. After this whole internship is over with, I really think that I will look back at it knowing that the things that I've gone through have made me a better person and will help me later on in life. Now, whether that means through a job connection, or just being able to handle situations better in the future by the experiences that I've gained from being in Michigan by myself. I really have had to rely on God for strength to get through long days as well as just some personal struggles, and I believe that being patient and waiting on the Lord to show me my next move is essential. This whole experience has been such a test on my faith as well as other things in my life, but I feel that I am now in a good place. From here on out I am striving to be the person that God wants me to be. Trusting in him and praising in him with everything I do whether it be things I don't like, or things that I enjoy doing. Its extremely hard, but I know in the end it is important. I want to enjoy my rest of my time up here, but I can not wait to get back to the south. There are so many things that are different in the way that people live up here, that test me every day, but I know it will make me stronger. I miss the south, and like I said, can't wait to get back, and hopefully I will have gained from my experiences up here. So, I will continue to let you all know how things progress up here but for now, I am out! These are just some things that were on my mind as of late Friday/early morning Saturday that I wanted to get out. peace

  1. Today, the lesson topic in Kidsquest was "Don't be Troubled" from John 14. One of the songs was "Everlasting God" with the lyrics our "strength will rise if we wait upon the Lord". I'm grateful that God is working in your life. I admire you for your attitude and desire to trust Him. I have no doubt He is using this time in Detroit for His good purpose and that you will benefit from it. DAD
